Biodiversity and Climate Change

In collaboration with Berwick Educational Assocation (BEA), Greener Berwick has an exciting set of three lectures for you this autumn, around the theme of Biodiversity and Climate Change.

In this second lecture, Newcastle University senior lecturer and chair of the European Forum on Urban Forestry Clive Davies will look at the unprecedented environmental challenges the world is facing including two of the most pressing: the decline in biodiversity and the impacts of climate change. He will explore the connection between the two and how local action can help. We will start with a global overview and then focus gradually from the continental - country - to local level. The first part will be a lecture and then following a short break a guided discussion on what action can be taken at the local level and the cumulative impact of this.

Tea and coffee will be served, and all are welcome.
